TRIZ Training

Our courses aim to dramatically enhance students’ analytical and creative skills. This is achieved through a comprehensive and experiential training regimen in the most effective TRIZ methods.

TRIZ Fundamentals
At this three-day workshop, you will learn basic TRIZ methods and receive hands-on experience solving various real-life complex product and process development problems gleaned from various fields of modern engineering. You will also receive a ~300-page course manual describing the TRIZ methodology. Contained within the course manual are numerous problems and solutions.

You will learn:

  • How to correctly identify and formulate complex problems
  • How to develop conceptual breakthrough solutions
  • How to replace trade-offs with innovative solutions satisfying all conflicting requirements
  • How to maximize utilization of available resources
  • How to objectively determine the most promising directions in the evolution of your product or process

Executive Overview
This workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of TRIZ-based technology and product development. It will demonstrate how to capitalize on this powerful methodology, and how its implementation will improve the rate of new-technology and new-product introduction, as well as reduce cost and lead times by a factor of 3 to 10. The workshop will also cover the necessary steps and decision-making processes required for effective integration and execution of TRIZ within existing productivity enhancement platforms.

Advanced TRIZ
This distance learning program is intended for self-paced study and is conducted via the Internet. The program covers advanced methods of modern TRIZ and their application to conceptual design and technology forecasting.

The program is based on the 3½-month-long graduate course in TRIZ offered at Wayne State University (since 1993) – the most complete course in modern TRIZ available in the West. The program exceeds the course both in scope and depth of covered material.

Trainees receive a comprehensive package of materials describing various methods of modern TRIZ. Contained within this package are numerous problems and solutions. The program is experiential, with the trainees instructed to solve dozens of problems gleaned from various fields of engineering.

Learning objectives
Trainees who complete the program will develop a comprehensive understanding of advanced concepts and tools of modern TRIZ. They will also acquire the background necessary to continually upgrade their TRIZ skills as new developments take place. More importantly, they will be able to:
